Do you sometimes find yourself putting down your phone after scrolling away on social media just to feel like a big piece of s***? Like you are doing something less than you should be, you should be working harder, taking bigger risks, etc? 🙋🏼♀️I know I do, and every time I do it is a reminder that we have choices in life. If we choose to see ourselves through other people’s successes or validation (whether on social media or not), we will live a less fulfilling life than we are capable of. It’s a constant battle for some of us.
I try to keep tunnel vision on my journey - focusing on my own mini successes and my own struggles rather than comparing what I’m going through to someone else who might be “doing it better.” We each have our own unique journey, so how can we try and compare apples to oranges? We can’t, so we shouldn’t!
I am not just talking about prep or fitness here. School, work, social life, faith, all of it! Keep your path in perspective and remember you are YOU, you aren’t her or him or them. Focus on what YOU CAN do, not what they are doing.
