56cm Freshwater Barra taken on a Reidy's Judge. This beauty inhaled the Judge as it was twitched past a big snag pile. Exciting stuff as it went berserk jumping and carrying on! #pinkbarramoney #kimberley #dunham #reidys #reidyslures

Another fishing trip with Merv Hughes fishing show which will be aired on One HD next May. This trip included Merv, Jason Kennedy (JK), Jason Rogers, Melita (Jason’s wife) Pete the cameraman, Karen (my wife) and myself. A huge thankyou to Nick and his team for their hospitality and having us stay on their House boats on picturesque Corroboree Billabong which is part of the Mary river system.
After getting all our supplies aboard the houseboats we launched the boats and headed up the billabong. Once we were securely anchored it was time for a bite to eat and a couple of refreshments. We headed out before sundown but only picked up a couple of Tarpon on #reidyslures Little Lucifers.
We returned the houseboats the next morning and then went casting #reidyslures Weedies into the lillies, this was slow at first maybe due to a big storm overnight but as the morning went on the fishing improved. Karen in the meantime had returned to our factory to work she said but the real work was out on the billabong I say. JK had to head into the city so Melita jumped aboard the Reidys boat.
Merv and Melita were casting from the front of the boat and me well back at the rear so I was fishing their old ground (my excuse anyway). Between Mel and Merv (I was there) they would have landed 6 Barra and plenty of Saratoga and Tarpon. Merv even caught himself and Jason had the fun part of getting the hooks out.
A very successful trip as Corroboree can be frustrating sometimes. Thanks again to Nick and the crew at Mary River Houseboats as it is an enormous advantage to stay on the Billabong especially in comfort. Mary River Houseboats

I recently had a fishing trip with Merv Hughes fishing show which will be aired on One HD next May. The trip included Merv, Jason Kennedy (JK), Jason Rogers, Pete the camerman and myself. A huge thankyou to Pete and Terri Barnes for their hospitality and having us stay on their mothership the BEAGLE GULF. Peter and Terri operate a guiding business Territory Guided fishing.
After a successful Barra trip on the Finniss river we packed our gear from the Beagle Gulf and headed to the Dundee boat ramp to unload the Reidys Barra boat and we all went out wide of Dundee on our Stabicraft.
Jason had a few marks wide and as soon as we stopped the boys were on. There were so many double hook-ups and they had a ball. I got to use some of our prototype 110cm vibes which worked a treat and unfortunately forgot to pack the #reidyslures Sea Bugs so it was only the vibes for me.
Species we caught included Cobia, Trevally, Macks, Golden Snapper, Coral Trout, Red Emporer, Nannygai, Red throat Emporer and all the usual suspects. This will be an awesome show to watch next year.
We stayed at Jason’s mother in laws (Molong) for the night and had a fantastic meal at the Lodge of Dundee. After this a good night sleep at Molongs and off the next day back to Darwin to hit Corroboree.

Excited to get prototypes of our 3 sizes in the Fish Snakz, now to test them out!!!

Fishing with Merv Hughes fishing show on Corroboree recently #reidyslures

I recently had a fishing trip with Merv Hughes fishing show which will be aired on One HD next May. The trip included Merv, Jason Kennedy (JK), Jason Rogers, Pete Barnes, Pete the camerman and myself. A huge thankyou to Pete and Terri Barnes for their hospitality and having us stay on their mothership the BEAGLE GULF. Peter and Terri operate a guiding business Territory Guided fishing.
Our plan was to fish the Finniss river situated near Dundee on the bottom of the tide due to the bigger tide movement at the time we had available. After settling our gear on the Beagle Gulf we fished the cleaner water up stream and ended up catching 4 Barra from 60 to mid 70 cm.
The next morning we trolled the mouth of the river but noticed the water clarity wasn’t the best due to the tidal movement so we decided to flick the drains and eddies where we could see cleaner water. As the water clarity became better we could see the odd fish showing up on the sounder and then just like switching a light on we had Barra mayhem. Merv and I were using #reidyslures Big B52’s in custom colours whilst JK used both #reidyslures and Rapala’s (sponsors of the show) and at one stage we couldn’t go 20 metres without hooking up, Merv was the clear winner out of the 3 of us but I suppose he needed to be as JK and I were dominant the day before LOL.
This session went for a good couple of hours as we chased the clean water up to where the Beagle Gulf was anchored. We kept a couple of fish and they were very clean saltwater Barra that tasted awesome along with mudcrabs that Pete had caught. I have to mention Terri made some snacks for us and Merv commented many times that they should open a restaurant and a big thanks to Jason’s Mother in law Molong for her hospitality, Jason's wife Melita would eventually join us along with my wife Karen later at Corroboree but thats another story.
A great trip and look forward to seeing the program in May next year (2018). Give Terri and Pete a call if you want to come up to the Top End and fish for the iconic Barra and you never know that #milliondollarfish may be lurking in the Finniss river. Check out their website www.ntfishing.com.au

Local Darwin fisho Lats recently caught a couple of beauties. A 119cm and 120cm barra at Shady Camp. Wow awesome effort Lats and both on #reidyslures Big Ass B52's in Olive Python colour but with his own stripes painted on. Lats emailed the following;
Recently did a trip to Shady Camp to try my luck for some big build up barra. Water was filthy due to recent wind and intense storms. But at certain stages of the tide the sediment in the water would drop out just enough to create some cleaner current lines. During 22hrs of trolling I stumbled on a 120cm barra that put on an aerial display that was jaw dropping. After a few happy snaps I thought nothing will come close to that this trip. Until 90mins later I got a 119cm. Lure was a Reidy's Big Ass B52 with a few extra stripes I painted on it. That's 6 meterys this year for me on Reidy's lures, and 7 for the boat. All fish are still swimming

Great day out lure testing some different colours yesterday with Zorny and @jasonnatrogers we landed 6 barra up to 71cm and only 1 undersized, all fish released. Creek near mouth of Adelaide River #reidyslures Big B52’s in custom colours

Adam sent in an email on a recent trip with a mate Edmund (pictured)
Hi Colin, I went out to Sandy Creek N.T. on Saturday with a mate, we landed 10 good Barra including this one of Edmund's which was 80cm on a Rocky Road Big B52. Most of the fish were around 65cm - 75cm and were all landed on B52's and Big B52's. Those new vibes are pretty damn good.
Thanks Mate,
