This is Ruby. She’s my crazy-little 4yo. When I was inside my own Mamma's uterus, Ruby was ALREADY inside me. Quite literally, Ruby and I and my own Mamma-bear were all entwined as one for 38 weeks.
When my Mother was within my Nanna Dulcie, I was in there too. (Is your mind blown?) AND of course, when this little lady was inside me, her own future children already existed within her.
See, women are born with all of the eggs in their ovaries that they will ever have.
What an amazing honour huh? To carry TWO generations in one moment.
What a truly magical thing.
Now, to some not-so-rad-amazing info... Gen Y is now the first generation in history forecast to have a shorter life expectancy than that before it. Why? Lifestyle related weakening of our genetic code. It's what we eat and drink, what we surround ourselves with, and how we treat our bodies.
To all of you 'future Mamma's', the BEST way for a woman to detox, is to have a baby, because we literally can dump our toxins directly into the child.
What we do now, affects not just us, but our children, and our children's children. Which is exactly how we got into the health-kerfuckle in the first place.
What we surround ourselves with matters more than you may ever realise.
The top 3 causes of death today? Cancer, Cardiovascular disease, and medical error.
All of these deeply involve lifestyle factors and a health system that profits more by keeping us sick than healthy.
Why am I so passionate about what I do? This is why. It matters. A LOT.
US studies show over 200 synthetic chemicals presenting in the umbilical chords of newborn infants. “We know the developing fetus is one of the most vulnerable populations, if not the most vulnerable, to environmental exposure,” said Anila Jacobs, EWG senior scientist.
A whole new raft of chemicals are showing up in babies’ cord blood for the first time. Synthetic fragrances used in common cosmetics and detergents and Teflon-relative perfluorobutanoic acid.
So hows about we rub some more Loreal on hey? I mean... we're worth it right? [cont in comments] 💕
