My hubby is a lifesaver, he crushed a bunch of our food prep yesterday while I was at work late. Without him I wouldn't be eating today! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I love being in a relationship where chores aren't divided up based on gender ๐Ÿ‘Œ Just help each other for goodness sake.
Ok, sorry. Moving on to relevant fitness and health info ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Very excited about my meals this week!! You'll hear a lot of fitness and nutrition people talk about how simplicity is key. And to a certain extent I agree.. I agree that getting all of the proper nutrients is important, and whole foods are the best way to do that. But I'm also someone who WILL NOT eat chicken and broccoli every week, 3 times a day. That's not a maintainable nutrition lifestyle for me. I need varietyyyy ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ What you see here is all whole food. Minus the protien shake, it's all made from scratch. It all has essential nutrients needed to get me through my day with energy to spare. And none of it is boring. There's a variety of flavours, veggies, meats, and spices used. God designed us with a desire to be creative. Why are we trying to force ourselves to not be creative in this one area? Nutrition can be creative too!
Breakfast: Chocolate Cherry Chia Pudding with Protien Shake

Lunch: Homemade Chicken Ramen

Dinner: Blackened Steak Burrito Bowl

Tuesday Back Werk
Back and bicep day is my fave day ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ I don't know why, I just find back work so satisfying! Here's some ideas and examples of different moves to get those Lat muscles nice and warm ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ 1. Overhead Wallball Throw - ever wonder why construction workers have such cut backs? A lot of it is the hammering! That overhead swinging motion is all back work bro ๐Ÿ’ช
2. Reverse Pull Ups - doing the last half of an exercise is an amazing way to build strength in your weakest areas of the movement. Jump into the top of your pull up, roll your shoulders back and down to engage your back, and lower yourself as slowly as possible
3. Wide Grip Row - that wide grip will really hit up the bottom of your v-taper

I legit have no excuse. Iโ€™ve got myself a mobile gym (literally, I stream my workouts from my phone or laptop - think Netflix, but for workouts), Iโ€™ve got perfectly functional space to get it done (it doesnโ€™t take much), and Iโ€™ve got my all-natural green tea extract lemonade flavoured preworkout (aka my unicorn juice). ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ“ฑ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿฆ„ PLUS, Iโ€™m currently in chilly Regina, Iโ€™ve gotta warm up somehow. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Itโ€™s week 3 of my at home Pilates and yoga program and Iโ€™m loving the way itโ€™s making my body feel (and look). ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ DAY 15: PIYO - BUNS complete. โœ… These buns are on fiyaaaah. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Iโ€™ll be feeling it tomorrow. ๐Ÿ‘

Some of the glute activation exercises I do on glute day. For a while there I would squat and not feel anything in my glutes. I'm so quad dominant so it's easy for my quads to do all the work during lower body exercises. Since discovering muscle activation exercises, glute days are no longer just quad days ๐Ÿ˜‚. #muscleactivation

Happy Monday fam! If you're at all like me, you are insanely busy and maybe don't have time for a 2 hour workout every day. These step elevated moves will get your heart rate pumping and your little legs BURNING in a very short amount of time. I like efficiency ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ Try added them individually to your workout, or try them all together as a booty focused HIIT! Get it!

True. What are you making a priority? Investing time into your future body, mind, and health is one of the most important changes you can make. In North America we are so sold on the importance of work, but you know what's more important than work? YOU! Your health is worth 4 hours a week.
When a client tells me they don't have time to work out but they reallllly wish they did, I hear them saying to me that they subconsciously don't believe that they have the power to choose what they're spending their own time on. Empowering yourself starts with the recognition that you have the power to make time to do what is important to you. Start recognizing that you are worth it!

I workout because I love my body not because I hate it. There's a misconception that if you hate your body enough then you will want to change it. The truth is anything you do from a place of hate only ends up in a place of hate.
Do it because you love your body, respect it and you already see all the potential you possess.
It sounds like a cliche but I've been teaching myself never to say or think negative of any part of my body. There'll always be a body type that is more trendy at every point in time but the truth is you have the body you have. Some people naturally have a bigger butt and you can squat from today to eternity you will get your best butt not Jane's best butt (get it). I used butt cos we are in the era of butt, who knows what's coming next.
