A beginner’s Vinyl journey...as such I’m not new to Vinyl listening...my parents had...and I listened to some of their collection of course when I was a kid...and could only enjoy limited genre of music... those which better suited my ears such as Beatles, A-Ha, ABBA, Boney M and some Indian film music Kannada and Bollywood. However me & my brother went through the whole journey across formats post vinyl, from Tapes to CDs to SACD to Digital format. YES I don’t belong to that group which says one sounds better than the other. I enjoy all formats and have a VERY SPECIAL liking to the way good old vinyl sounds. The sound that on some very good records gives a feeling you actually are in the arena/room where it’s being played rather than at your stereo room/home. My music set up included CD players, Cassette deck and in the past 6-7 years they were replaced by CD rips to FLAC, some High res buying online and #Applemusic subscription to keep myself updated on the new releases and artists that match my listening. I really don’t know when or how my interest in vinyl rekindled and just then when it did, added Rega Planar 2 to the set up. My gear includes a very modest #DenonPMA-720ae, #REGAPlanar2 & a pair of these sweet sounding passive #KEF-LS50s, #synologyDS212J #NAS for storage which is wirelessly connected to #SonosConnect. My latest Vinyl is eponymous #Iron Maiden...I like the raw sound on the LP though Irons themselves were not happy with it. #WillMalone never worked again with them. I have this album on all formats and I enjoy best on VINYL.
