Today I had an appointment with my nutritionist (dietician?) from my med-based weight loss program (yes, #postop #rny #bariatricsurgery ). I have been having a lot of issues with #burnout, #suicidality, #hopelessness, and a lot of other life issues going on with lack of health insurance making my #bipolardisorder worse.
Long story short, at my appointment we had a lengthy discussion as to how to proceed with the program and what all is going on. We have come upon that my mental health is a more important issue than anything else right now (stay alive (!!), stay out of the hospital, make my mood as stable as possible, get sleep, eat as healthy as possible (even with meds making that nearly impossible, she empathized with me), and practice self care). I am feeling pretty down and feeling as though I am a "failure" since I feel some people are going to read this and think I am weak or something. I also just have high expectations for myself.
But also, when I have SO dang much going on right now with my mental health, it is nice to have professional bariatric approval to do what you need to do to get your head fixed first.
