BLOATED. Yep, feeling like a human marshmallow today after (over)indulging the past week celebrating my BFF’s wedding. . I do NOT feel guilty because I had a great time taking a break from weighing/measuring my food and enjoying some beers and wedding cake 🍰 but my pants definitely feel a little tight! 😜 . It’s hard to transition from a fun trip away back into your diet and exercise routine at home. Here’s what I did to get back in the groove: - carb fasts in the morning to reset insulin levels 👉 eat high protein breakfasts - I drank lots of water and hot tea 🍵 while traveling to help out my digestion - I’m going for low intensity lifting this week instead beating myself into the ground with a tough WOD right away - Breathing exercises/meditation to manage stress of travel, overflowing inbox, etc. 🧘🏼♀️ . It’s important to enjoy your vacations, but don’t let that time off turn into weeks or months of disregard for your fitness & health. .
