RECIPE: Angel Sugar Cookies (cat not included) -- In a large mixing bowl, cream together 2 sticks of unsalted butter (softened), 1 cup canola oil, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 2 large eggs. Then add the 4 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon cream of tartar, and 1 teaspoon salt; mix well. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for 1 hour. Using a cookie scoop, drop balls of dough onto ungreased, unlined baking sheets. Smear a dab of butter all over the bottom of a glass / mason jar, then dip the glass in granulated sugar. Use the glass to flatten each ball of dough, dipping again into the sugar each time. Then sprinkle a little sugar over each of the cookies. Bake at 350 degrees F, until the cookies are just barely turning brown; 9 to 11 minutes. Don't overbrown! Allow to cool before eating. This makes approximately 24 ultra crumbly and tasty cookies! (Recipe courtesy of Ree Drummond, @thepioneerwoman) Get more recipes on my blog, link in bio.
