Sunday Strength ending with some grip strength work. Here based up against the cage and subsequent sets were in Free Stance. Piece of 3, preferably 4" battle rope with 50Ib kettle. 45 seconds to 1 minute, you can mix pronated and supianated grips on curls as well as changing grip while extending arm and continue to rotate once extended to about 90 degrees of flexion at shoulder. I think no matter how heavy something is, if easy to grab, not a great carry over to grappling and MMA grip strength.

Not sure what to call these but I would do these with fighters back in the 90's mostly Judo, Jits, and MMA guys. We use to call them PREDATORS so keep with that, particularly as that is such a mean, harsh offensive word in modern day, safe space, playdoh, pansy, America.
Nevertheless, they are a combo of hybrid good morning/squats with a modified lunge and yes, excessive flexion at the hip.which is intentional. I think they are excellent for developing explosive power at the hip (hybrid Squat/good morning) in positions more inclined to occur in grappling arts, and can build exceptional leg strength with the lunges when base is dropped extremely low. I like relocation of the body, particularly when arriving in closely related fight sport positioning within a set, albeit as these do remain in sagittal plane and are limited. The photos demonstrate proper hip, back, and leg positions at the descent of these lifts. If.you do not like the bottom, this help MAY launch them off. Watching @doctor_kickass video yesterday with Rickson Gracie inspired me to get on neck training I would do when I was younger. These are.very aggressive and I still do them at 51 yrs old, however I recommend getting approval from a PT such as @docmcamp or @doctor_kickass.
