Something we talked about today at bootcamp .. HEART RATES ♥️♥️
Your maximum heart rate is about 220 minus your age, today during boxing we were aiming for about 85 to 90 percent of our max heart rate. In this zone we are working at a high intensity, developing our high speed endurance and maximum performance capacity.
This level of intensity can't be maintained for long periods of time but is amazing for your heart & absolutely torches carbohydrates 🍞🍔🍟 Why is it important to track your heart rate?
What we want is a LOW RESTING heart rate, this means your heart muscle is in better condition and doesn’t have to work as hard to maintain a steady beat. We can achieve a lower resting heart rate by having good nutrition, enough sleep, limiting caffeine & alcohol, managing stress & keeping physically fit 🏃♀️💪
