I only took one photo on the Beckey-Chouinard. I had spent the whole day being so focused, in the moment and overwhelmed by our tiny position on such a spectacular hunk of rock. When I looked up from the last belay and saw @lizzyvanpatten seemingly floating nearly 2,000 ft off the ground, silhouetted against the smokey haze, I had to capture it. This photo so perfectly captures the essence of our time in the vertical world. Just woman and stone in a delicate dance.
