This took me a long time to find the courage to post this. I almost didn't want to and I almost wasn't going to.
Here *was* my very first armor build that I had planned to wear to aikon. I had a last minute wardrobe malfunction with some of the straps and boots, and instead of trying to fix it, I chose not to wear it. We were crunched for timebat this point, and I didn't want it to come in the way of Lily having her fun at the con (sacrifices for your kids is something mommys learn to live with no problem.) I feel like this still needs ALOT of work and as heartbreaking as it was for me not to wear it, I'm looking on the bright side. I'm going to take this time to REALLY perfect it, so I can wear it in ALL it's glory, amd not a sloppy half-assed version of it. I worked really hard on it over the last year (yes, year) and I want to be able to wear it proudly. I learned there is NO shame in putting something aside until you are really ready for it. At the end of the day, I am so happy I was able to accomplish so much with this, as a mom of 4 who works 40+ hours a week, it was tough but I still did it! Thank you to all my awesome cosplay friends for the hugs and words of encouragement when I was feeling down.
