Exactly 2 years ago I tried directing a video for the first time in my life, together with amazing stylist @misterqlndn and DP @vlad_jako
It's so frightening to witness how quickly time flies, but I also feel proud about the road I've been walking since that day.
People ask me about transition from photography into video.
Here are some advantages:
✖️I've already tried "lo-fi" with photography 10 years ago when I started (f*cking hell, I feel old), so I didn't want to compromise the quality of my video work from the very beginning
✖️it's still photography, only now you have 25 images per second 😂helps to understand composition, visual style, even some technicalities to discuss with your DP
✖️I've worked on big stills productions before, video production is different, but not dramatically
✖️I could use creative connections I had while developing my photography career, such as production designers, stylists, hair and makeup, etc
✖️photographic perfectionism of caring about every frame really helps
✖️I could finally concentrate on my real strength, which is creating ideas and visual stories, and invite amazing professionals to take care of cinematography .
