You probably already know nutrition is 80% [if not more] of being able to achieve a weight loss goal. If you are like me - you’ve got the working out part down but the eating part- is more of a struggle.
I'd heard you can't out train a BAD DIET but I didn't understand what that meant until I was ACTUALLY working out and seeing limited results {**all because I wasn't eating for success}.
I did a lot of trial and error over the years, but I finally CRACKED THE CODE and there were 3 KEY things I discovered that helped me see results while still enjoy N.C. LIFE.

✌️Veggies First
I LOVE to EAT and want to have a good relationship with food - so I changed my #mindset and instead of focusing on deprivation, I started focusing on foods I could eat without limits. That's where veggies became my best friend and I still have #allthedips without any guilt. 🥦

✌️ Carb-Loving Recipes
I CRAVE comfort foods. I love making them as much as I love eating them. I always had FOMO {**fear of missing out} when I tried to completely eliminate them. So rather than saying “NEVER”, I switched all my carb cravings to less calorie dense alternatives and always have choices. I still eat all of the same dishes but I swap out base with zoodles {zucchini noodles}, spaghetti squash pasta and even cauliflower pizza crust and cheese bread. SO I NEVER MISS OUT. *
✌️ The Good, Bad & Sad
No more labeling foods "good" or "bad" - because I feel guilt if I eat the “bad”. and feel as if I’ve ruined everything...THEN I think I should give up. Instead of associating being strict with being good, I am learning to LOVE experimenting with alternatives, yam or tofu noodles {YOU GOTTA TRY THIS ZERO CALORIE HACK}, or bunless burgers with all fixins!}. And if I have a day where I eat out of the ordinary, I tell myself that it's about balance and #stillliving. I want my family to have a great relationship with food and not to associate food with being good or bad so that starts with #mefirst.

I hate overly filtered pics so I try not to do too much. It makes the pic look fake & does not show the real deal/skills. This one has no filter.
Filters can be fun when used properly but if you are a professional & using this for business how can people see your real skills if you overly filter the pic!!! Filters can make people get real lazy in their skill building. I changed my #mindset and instead of focusing on deprivation, I started focusing on foods I could eat without limits. That's where veggies became my best friend and I still have #allthedips without any guilt. 🥦

Instead of associating being strict with being good, I am learning to LOVE experimenting with alternatives. And if I have a day where I eat out of the ordinary, I tell myself that it's about balance and #stillliving. I want my family to have a great relationship with food and not to associate food with being good or bad so that starts with #mefirst.
