These photos are literally a second apart & what I really wanted to share with those that do suffer from bloating is YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

It's so sore & uncomfortable & sometimes leaves me unable to actually walk because I'm bent over in agony. But people see the right way more than they see the left. I could've just posted the right photo with the life saving @NikeWomen @JDwomen leggings that suck EVERYTHANKK IN but no, I was reaaaallly struggling & wanted to show you what I was reaaallly feeling.

My top tips for bloating, because boy has it happened enough to talk from experience 🀰🏼 β€’ If you can, get into child's pose, or cat/cow. Let that tummy hang out.
β€’ Drink peppermint tea, but don't down it all in one. Just little sips β˜•οΈ
β€’ Wear loose clothes, having tight high waisted is the worst & makes you feel even more self conscious about it
β€’ Avoid alcohol or any thing too heavily spiced/flavoured. Just stick to simple, easily digestible foods
β€’ Remember it will go down, it's horrible at the time & can change your mood but after a good nights sleep & all the above. You'll be feeling back to normal 🌈

πŸ’πŸΌβŒ›οΈ I've lost quite a bit of body fat that my small waist has become more noticeable. I've gotten mass amounts of DM's about if I waist train and how I got a slimmer waist. NO- I do NOT waist train, never have and never will. My waist has always been naturally small by genetics- my mom has a small waist. I got it from my mama. πŸ˜‚ But give or take, if I put on unhealthy weight, you won't notice it cuz it's covered under fat. And as far as exercises goes... there's really none you can do to alter your actual waist. Your waist is apart of your natural anatomy. You cannot change the shape of it unless you seek surgical assistance. However... if you do reduce the fat (overall body fat- no such thing as fat targeting) surrounding the waist area, it will help with the appearance of a smaller waist or you could build a wider back/ lats for the appearance of a smaller waist. I guess I was born "lucky," tho for most of my life, I was embarrassed of a small waist & thought it was a body deformity. I was scared to show my waist cuz I didn't think it was normal. Until I got into fitness, I realized how many women actually want a smaller waist. For me- I do 20 mins of high resistance cardio with every workout session I do. While of course it'd be great to give 100% all the time, it's also not realistic. Unless you make your living off of your physique or body fat level, there's no reason to feel pressured to absolutely kill your self in the name of fitness. *However* you also don't have license to complain about a lack of progress if you knowingly and consistently give less than your best. There's something to be said for those individuals who still give 60-80% and do what they can when the unexpected comes up. Those who are one bad day away from skipping the gym or intentionally over eating fail to see that even an 'okay' day still gets them closer to that goal.

Intentionally half ass'ing adds up over time. Every guesstimated meal. Every high carb day that became a cheat meal. Every time you shaved a few minutes off of a cardio session. Every time you stop a set a couple reps short. Every time you choose a lighter weight. Every time you missed a workout but still could have gotten it in. None of these choices by themselves holds you back. In fact occasionally days like this a mental break is needed, or other parts of our lives need attention. BUT the sum total of slacking off and having a 'good enough' approach too often adds up over time.

Case in point: even my own fitness journey has had seasons. Times when I religiously tracked foods, and got to the gym 5 days a week. Other times I ate Taco Bell on Sundays, Panda Express on Thursdays, and only got to the gym 3-4 times. But there's always been a bare minimum commitment, and consistent standard I've held myself to. This has allowed my overall progress to improve, even if sometimes more slowly than others.

Keep a balanced approach to fitness goals and every day life. But at all times hold yourself accountable. In the end it's the small choices which add up to make us who we are. -
