🍓🍓 STRAWBERRIES 🍓🍓.
. Lately I've been getting into strawberries, like big time! The local market sells big boxes of spray free strawberries for only $15. I'd rather buy organic but to get organic strawberries of the size box I've been getting would probably be well over $100.
. So for now whilst it's in season I'm going to enjoy them in my smoothies, in desserts, in salads, in raw ice cream and just as is. Most people make jams with them here and I often asked why I'm buying such a big box. But when your largely a raw foodist you can go through them pretty quick, especially in making smoothies everyday (mostly green smoothies).
.So the beloved strawberries 🍓 are chock full of vitamins and nutrients, very high in vitamin c, zinc, potassium, iron, calcium and magnesium. They contains phytonutrients that help reduce inflammation. They also help fight free radicals in your body and is known to be anti breast, colon and prostate cancer. The little seeds on the outside skin also act as a drawing agent for toxins and helps eliminate them from your body. Another bonus is they are high in fiber (so you know what that means 😉) and low in sugar. Yum!! Give me more strawberries 🍓.
