I am blessed. So many times over. I may feel haggard at the end of most days. Stay at home Mom is hardly a glamorous job.
But my children are asleep in their beds just a few feet from me, and in the morning, they will run into my room where I can hug them tight.
I’m feeling frustrated, heartbroken and helpless about the families who were separated at our border. I think about those children, no different than mine, who are asleep under tinfoil blankets tonight, with no one to kiss them in the morning.
I don’t have a lot to give. But I have knitting patterns. And I will donate every penny from my pattern sales for the next week, any maybe longer, to RAICES Texas - an organization providing aid to reunite these families.
It would mean the world to me if you’d buy a pattern. You’d get a kickass knitting pattern and the knowledge that you’re helping people who so desperately need it.
Thank you to @dreareneeknits for the inspiration and so eloquently saying what I just can’t.
