So fucken happy with today! So those who have followed me on this journey know that I haven't pulled much on conventional deadlifts in over 2 years lol I'm mainly pulling sumo but today after hitting my main sets on sumo I felt like hitting conventional and see what my max is and I'm pretty impressed๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ

Finally got my birthday workout in 4 days after my actual b-day lol Decided to hit the gym with no scheduled program just hit what I felt like hitting lol Finally got to use the Duffalo bar and I love it!!!๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸพFelt so bloated from the alcohol but the come back is better than the set back

Never been one for long post but here goes a #TB to my very first meet in May 2016 after powerlifting for about 2 months ๐Ÿ˜‚. Ya boi was a fetus. S/o @ayagepi for being one of my biggest inspirations to start competing. Probably the shittiest feelings ever was bombing out on squats. That's what happens when you go all raw everything and quarter squat 455 for reps during prep. DQ'ing in my first meet was the probably the most humbling experience. After all was said and done, I had severe inflammation in my hips and a back strain that kept me from lifting 2 months without pain. It literally made me depressed for months and I gained something like 20 lbs post competition (~210lbs). Currently I'm dealing with another back injury that kept me from competing at nationals. When I realized I wouldn't be able to compete, it crushed me. Now I'm here layed up like an old man. But I'll be damned if I fall into another bout of depression. I've proven to myself that I could persevere multiple times in my young adult life and bounced back every time as a stronger, better version of myself. I thankful for for your guys' support and my next meet is gonna go out to the homie, @rud_ee12, one of my greatest supporters who motivated throughout my high school athletic career and throughout my weight loss journey/ powerlifting journey. This next one is for you dawg. I'm itching to get back on the platform but my mental self is limited by physical self. Just a PSA but never sleep on the kid.
