*LONG post alert*
For about a week or more I've had it on my to-do list to go to the used book store and look for the Laura Ingalls Wilder series and some Boxcar Children books to read to my kiddos, but something always comes up so I hadn't made it yet.... Fast forward to today... my morning wasn't great... I was furloughed at work (=no pay for the day), I found out that due to misinformation by my insurance company I may owe over $2,000 to my doc, and a local lumbar company sent a letter hassling us over some nonsense that could cost us even more money. Many tears were shed, but I told God I was going to trust him with these troubles, and the afternoon got much better when my BFF showed up with tea and her mad decorating skills to brighten my day!
That evening while I was busy making dinner and wrangling kids, my mom dropped by to give me a box of some more of my childhood "stuff." I spotted some old crayons, and felt frustrated thinking I'd have to go through another junk box from the garage. I waited until the kids went to bed to sort through my belongings, and when I got to the bottom of the box I almost cried!! It was like God was giving me a little hug reminding me he cares about the little things and loves to bless his children. It may seem like nothing to many, but I couldn't stop smiling.... even when I realized a couple of the books had my sister's names written inside (nothing a little black marker won't fix 😉😉). I kid, I kid. Can't wait to start reading with my littles and continuing to watch God provide! #longstorylong #littlehouseontheprairie #boxcarchildren #babysittersclub #ramonaandbeezus #childhoodbooks
