Push and turn toys are a great tool to promote critical thinking skills, and concepts of cause and effect. Providing toys to our little ones with intention, helps us ask them poignant questions while they ‘play’.

I’ve decided to start school tomorrow. It was too hard to get started when we were having the most glorious Indian summer, but now that it’s turned a bit, it’s time. These fall colors have me dreaming of walks to refresh our fried brains and gathering leaves for our art projects. I’m a fairly unorganized person, but to combat that I bought a paper board to make a giant calendar that we can write all our events and schedule like stuff on. I think we’ll record the weather and temperature too.
I love teaching my kids and having the freedom to start late, or take a day off if it’s nice out. I also have them do chores between subjects 😂. It’s a little break for them and helps keep some order to the chaos.
If you’re homeschooling, drop me a comment below with your favorite freedom homeschooling offers!👇🏼
Tag a mamma that needs some stress support through this season, I’m gonna do a fun giveaway from my favorite oily grab bag! There’s an oil called Stress Away, it basically smells like a heavenly paradise...and someone is going to win a stressaway roller! (You don’t have to be a homeschooling mom, or even a mom at all, just anyone that has feelers that get “stressed” from time to time.
Each friend you tag is an entry for you. ❤️
Give me some school season wisdom or your best school/homework life hack and you get 2 extra entries!
And ladies, best of luck to you, through it all. 🙈🏠🌿

One of our favorite sensory play activities is shaving cream art. Super fun for the kiddos and easy clean up for parents.

Promoting life long readers starts from an early age. Role modeling this in our homes is one of the very first steps. Having access to books, magazines and reading materials throughout the house also sends a message that reading is important. (Even while eating breakfast)

Reading to our little ones from an early age helps promote language, critical thinking, lifelong readers, great literacy skills and creates a special bond between us and our kids.

Fall is almost here....my favorite time of the year! Your little ones can enjoy pumpkin painting this fall. Get those little fingers moving, and the creativity flowing.

Classic folktales and fairy tales are part of my kids’ early childhood literary canon. The themes are used over and over again in many books as they get older. Keep reading!!!!

Younger children need a variety of ways to spell out their name. Pattern blocks are a great and fun tool for being creative and to promote mathematical thinking.

Thank you for posting this @1stgradepandamania Reading aloud to our children from day one is so important to their overall cognitive development. From Language development to a love of reading, read alouds tank in my top three things to do with our children, daily.

Setting up comfortable reading spaces in your children’s room promotes reading and literacy.

This is how we are rolling into Friday!!!!

Sensory toys don’t need to be purchased or very expensive. This sensory tool was made for just a few dollars and can be reused for storage.

Share the kitchen with your young child and watch them eat the meal they helped prepare.

I’m just the luckiest mom in the world to get these amazing little humans to call my very own! All three of my wonderful boys have always excelled in school and we are ready for another amazing school year! 😍 #firstdayofschool #8thgrade #7thgrade #1stgrade #weloveschool #knowledgeispower #themoreyouknow #raisinggeniuses #boygenius #proudmom #anabthatsme

Bella was just a few months over two years old here singing “My Country Tis of Thee”. Her passion from an early age has been singing and music. To nurture this, we have surrounded her with vocalists, music, musical theatre and instruments. What’s your child’s passion?
