After Camp Valor I decided to stay a quick extra day so I could squeeze in a few extra hours in Austin. What an amazing day it was yesterday! Church, followed by lunch at @mesquitecreekoutfitters where we met Cody who is also the founder of Veteran Outdoors. I'm not sure I've met a nicer person! Listening to why he started his program getting Veterans and their families outdoors and being able to share a little bit about @raiseemoutdoors made my morning. As Cody said 'when you meet people who have a real passion for the outdoors and for helping others, who are in it for all the right reasons and 100 percent just want to help, then you are with the right people. I hope we are able to work on some future projects , his outlook is inspiring. 🙏🏼. .
Second stop of the day The Warren Wildlife Gallery , I can't Share photos of this amazing place because you need to see it for yourself it's insane!! Thankyou you to a good friend who set up a tour of the museum for us. This amazing place is still private and under construction but they continue to bring in Boy Scouts and 4H kids during all of the construction. The main purpose of @warrenwildlifegallery is to educate the next generation on hunting and wildlife conservation. Especially urban kids right in the heart of Austin who don't often get a chance to be exposed to what hunting is really about.
I left Austin very inspired and thankful :). Can't wait until next time and excited to plan the @raiseemoutdoors camp in TX.
Thankyou @mommacrooks for hanging with me yesterday !
