Calm celebrations ✨
I’m creating the guides for my Calm Celebrations course at the moment, which is making me reflect afresh on how our family will be celebrating all of the festivals - Halloween, bonfire night, Chanukah, Christmas, New Year - coming up over the next few months.
Rather than having an exact idea of how I want things to look, I’m choosing to focus on how I want these celebrations to feel. What values do I want them to reflect? How can they add meaning, joy, and connection to our lives? What do I want to say ‘no’ to - and what does this mean we can say ‘yes’ to?
Personally I’m all about slow, quiet celebrations, with a long lead up and a gentle wind down, with lots of small things gradually building up to a feeling of festivity.
What about you? How does your family celebrate birthdays and holidays? Are you a big party, make allll the food, get the whole extended family over kind of person? Or do you prefer a simple candlelit meal with a cake and a few of your loves? Maybe a mix of both?
(PS. Due to demand, I released some extra spaces on the course today. They’ve pretty much all sold already but there are a handful left if you’re quick! Link in profile.)
