Eye-catching and dashing. Both a quality racehorse and sire. Quality Road (By Elusive Quality out of Kobla) may have only made thirteen starts, but in those starts he proved himself. The multiple graded stakes winner won eight races, placed second in three, and placed third in one, racking up a total of $2,232,830. His first time out he collected a win in an MSW at Aqueduct, and would come short of a win in an allowance at Gulfstream two months later. It wasn’t long before he spread his wings and soared. He never placed off the board until his final start, the G1 Breeders’ Cup Classic (finished twelfth). His wins include the G2 Fountain of Youth Stakes, the G1 Florida Derby, the G2 Amsterdam Stakes, the G3 Hal’s Hope Stakes, the G1 Donn Handicap, the G1 Metropolitan Handicap, and the G1 Woodward Stakes. Once retired, he established himself in the breeding shed as well. He became the first fourth-crop sire, and his 2017 top yearling sold for $1,000,000. He has sired many great horses such as Abel Tasman, Klimt, Illuminant, Blofeld, Frank Conversation, and more. He now stands at Lane’s End for $70,000.
