are you living, really truly aware of yourself and what’s going on around you— or largely running on auto pilot, with thoughts and actions committed to a relatively certain, predictable ebb & flow?
it’s easy to fall victim to the latter— and it’s not our fault per-se, since (as mentioned previously) we have an affinity for choices which will ensure a physical and mental sense of comfort & stability.
of course this isn’t wholly a “bad” thing, but, nonetheless, it’s an important concept to acknowledge. —
as the saying goes: “a comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there”— you can’t become what you want to be while remaining as you are, so enjoy those moments of peace and inward understanding, but also learn to really, truly appreciate & embrace times of pressure and utter confusion as well, because THAT is when life’s meaning truly unfolds.
