We'll be meeting up this week with people we first met two months ago in #France. I'm sure we'll spend at least some time comparing notes on our travels throughout the #Dordogne. I treasure the memories, the impressions, the learning, and the people we met this summer. I don't know that I've ever visited such a physically beautiful country, as a whole, as France. This trip opened doors for me in so many ways. And the #historic #architecture -- very romantic and so pleasing to the eye. One of my favourite tours was of the #Puyguilhem #Chateau, featuring not one but two spiral #staircases, one at each end of the chateau. The centre of each stone step is sunken and #worndown from the passage of so many footsteps -- who were the people who trod up and down this #stairwell, starting in the early #1500s? I try to imagine . . .
