So ... yesterday I was #achalasia tired. I told a friend at the gym that I had almost no strength left over after my day of teaching phys ed. However as I forced out the dumbbell swings, squats, dead lifts and the like I really took notice of how my body has changed over the past few months despite this disease trying to constantly rob me of my muscle and energy. I'm proud of how far I've come and I'm anxious to see where I can go from here. It's extremely frustrating not being able to meal prep or plan considering I don't know what or even if I'll be able to force anything down each day, but that just means that I have to work a little bit harder than most and that's ok ... I'm learning how to do that and how to find my daily motivation.
What was yesterday's motivation ... ? The elk hunt that I leave for tomorrow. Picturing a few mile pack out reminded me of one of the reasons I do what I do. When I load up that pack with meat and antlers, I'm going to thank myself for pushing through on the days and nights when I just didn't want to go to the gym much less kick my own @$$ while I was there.
