Our neighbor Carla passed away on the sidewalk she lived on for the passed year; under a tarp between two grocery carts, next to a $2 million home. She was 40 years old and once had a job and an apartment not far from this corner. #homelessness can happen to anyone... #losangeles Thank you for passing #prophhh to pay for homeless and affordable housing. #bekind#begrateful
Just outside Chinatown in Los Angeles, a questionably framed composite image by @adamlmurray depicts a row of tents across the street from a large scale luxury condo development. Odds are the tent dwellers are not on the waiting list for the condo. More tents are popping up every day. The city's parks are speckled with homeless. Prop HHH passed, what's to become of it?
Ever since I was a little girl, I've dreamt about writing something for the @latimes . I never imagined that my brother would be the one to help me get there. This one's for you Daren. Thank you @lisabiagiotti for helping me tell my story and @brandonfriendsolis for the photography. #homesforhope
First, we experienced the passing of Prop HHH. Now, we’ve been blessed to see the passing of Measure H. But, there’s still much work to be done. Thank you to everyone who turned out to vote for this incredibly important measure.
LA. LA. What's up? #BrownBagLady is an organization created by Jackie to address the needs of the #homelessness issue in LA. She not only addresses the needs (like nutrition, clothing, shelter etc,...) but she builds a relationship with them and follows up 💞
Amidst all this chaos, there is still so much we can do in our communities. I am really grateful to @fastcodesign for spreading the good word about #homesforhope and to @brandonfriendsolis for consistently going above and beyond with the photography.

Nai'imah's dream. Her teacher posted this to spread awareness on issues plaguing Los Angeles communities. Please vote YES on Measure H on March 7th to prevent more children having to face chronic homelessness. This is a #fostercare#juvenilejustice#poverty#singleparenthome issue.
To respond to Nuggie: Our dreams change and shift each time we transition and accomplish each goal. Our dreams will only grow abundantly from here. 🙏
Repost from @uscarchitecture for our official presentation of the completed prototype for Homes Of Hope. The next step for our Fall '16 Homeless Studio will now be real-world implemention. Many thanks to our acting director Sofia Borges, board member Scott Mitchell, and all of the students for their hard work!
