Hey everyone. We have some news to share and please know this is a tough post to write since we knew this day was coming.
Our sweet #ProjectEva has crossed over to the rainbow bridge today.
Eva was a sweet senior dog we met at the shelter and was on the EU list for many reasons. Eva was 10+ years of age, HW +, severe arthritis, painful infected eye that needed to be removed and on all that, looks to have lived a very, very hard life.
There was NO WAY we were going to leave her there and wanted to show her an amazing life on what ever time left she had on this earth with us.Knowing her time was going to be short, we pulled her and got her the best medical care possible and found the most amazing hospice family to take care of her, love her, spoil her with steaks, ribs, bones, bed time stories and she LOVED being sung to. You name it.....Eva got it. You know what else this amazing family did.....they ADOPTED her so she had a family of her own! YUP.....BAWLING NOW!
Hospice fostering is truly one of the most selfless and difficult acts within a rescue and finding such a wonderful family, knowing the outcome, is beyond awe inspiring and takes a special kind of person/family!!! Thank you so much Allison and Scott for showing sweet Eva so much love, compassion, kindness and spoiling her the short time she was with us! You gave Eva a gift and we are all beyond grateful for you!
Sweet Eva.......your sweet personality touched so many and will live on through TSDP and with all the people that loved you so much! You will NEVER be forgotten and we will make sure we keep doing what we do to save more lives yourself Eva!!! Rest easy now sweet Eva Beva and it was an honor to have you in our care.....even for a short time! ❤️ you Eva!
