One thing I love about the @CodyApp is returning to programs that you bought a while ago and seeing how much you've progressed. I bought a strength/flexibility program from @fitqueenirene two years ago..and I couldn't do the splits. And my core is so much stronger too. Here's to progress! With today marking the start of the #healthbetchallenge for me & my girls, I snapped a few updated #progresspix (some w/ muscles flexed & some w/ muscles relaxed to show how different the 2 poses look) & I stepped on the scale for the first time since the end of April.
I decided over a year ago that, no matter what shape I'm in, I love me enough to take care of me ☺️ I also decided that my body knows when it feels best, so I actually like the extra pounds I've put on, some fat & some muscle. I have been gauging my progress by how my clothes fit & how well I function, instead of by what the scale says.
This month, I love me so much that I'm gonna workout at least 5 days a week (I usually workout 6 times a week, so this shouldn't be an issue), keep my nutrition on point with proper portions of healthy foods & daily Shakeology drinkage (gotta get my superfoods & adaptogens in!) that fuel my body for what I aim to do with it.

Sorry been inactive on SM. Death in the family, trip to urgent care, oncology appointments to prep for tomorrow.. So many things going on. Was at the funeral home for many hours this afternoon and evening. More on that tomorrow.
For today.. PR!! My last front squat PR was 165 back in the first week of August. Today I nailed 170 AND 175. Depth seems ok. Still hard to stay tight and wrist mobility issues but i think my elbows are staying higher than ever. So since I had 175 already loaded, and couldn't hit that on a BACK SQUAT yesterday (normal BS PR is 210).. I decided to try again today. Nope. It's odd that for right now my front squat is stronger the my back squat. Usually it's the opposite. FS PR was 165 vs BS PR 210. But... All that German volume heavy heavy back Monday is still got me so taxed and sore!! 10x10 100lb seated row πŸ’€πŸ’€ and my posterior chain is burnt from that PR 265 block pull sumo deadlift Monday and all extra lunges. So go figure. Still.. Hit a major PR today. My nausea from the cancer med has leveled out for the most part (thank you ginger moonshine) but my energy levels have tanked. Gonna see about getting back on my vitamins tomorrow at my oncologist appointment. Since my tummy is getting tougher I maybe can handle the supplements again for energy and joint health. β€’

Not much to tell for the month of #August, dropped below 200 & holding steady at 197-199 for the last 2 weeks
Still a #longwaystogo & I'll #neverstopimproving but I'm particularly #happy with my #shoulder #improvement cause I was barely able to put anything above my head when I started without searing pain through my entire neck & back followed by days of #spasms afterwards
