TRUTH BOMB! 💥

I can’t let the day end without sharing this AMAZING transformation! This is my honey, Matthew. He committed to a 60-day at-home workout program, used performance supplements, fueled his body with a superfoods meal replacement, followed a portion control meal plan, and ROCKED his results!!! This is a real life example of what you can accomplish if you do it for YOU! No shortcuts. No quick fixes. Just dedication and follow-through! This is a man who lived on:

✔️Taco truck burritos
✔️Large glasses of milk filled to the brim with chocolate chips
✔️Boxes of Cheez-Its
✔️Bags of chips
✔️Brownies and cookies
✔️Popcorn soaked in butter

You get the point. Whenever it was time for me to do a workout, I invited him to join me. He always declined, and that was okay. I did my thing, and he did his. Soooooo, it really surprised me when he reached out to me and said he was ready to do a workout program and commit to a meal plan.

That was two months ago.

Since then, Matthew hasn’t missed a workout and has stuck to his meal plan (for the most part). THIS doesn’t surprise me, though, because when he dedicates himself to something, he follows through. I’m so dang proud of him! Here’s what he has to say about his journey:

⭐️How did you feel about yourself and your body before you started your fitness program and meal plan?
“I felt fine..however I knew I needed to make changes if I wanted to live a healthy life.”

⭐️What inspired you to change your life and start your health and fitness journey?
“my fat gut”

⭐️What was your greatest obstacle at the beginning of your fitness program?
“food was definitely the biggest obstacle, I never felt getting up and working out was an obstacle, but the change in diet definitely was”

#transformationtuesday I am taking it alllll the way back from day 1️⃣ of prep this season (Nov. / Decemberish)to the most recent show #checkin photo of the season. For reference ladies, I’m pretty sure the monthly was on in both of these photos, most definitely on in the photo on the right #omahapro. Mine NEVER goes away...like ever. This is an example of about a 14-17 lbs difference. I started prep around 130lbs(photo on the left). I don’t prefer either over the other. I actually like the more “in the middle look” for everyday however, the break and rest of “off season” is necessary IMO. My extreme hobby has not and will not control my eating habits or my mental. My skin is the same, so I love each stage the same. #transformationtuesday shout out goes to my Online Macro Coaching client @stephanielightxx 🙌🏼 In just THREE short weeks, she is down 3.5lbs and 3.75 inches overall so far. She has been tracking macros consistently and only working out around 3x/week. The occasional Taco Bell has slipped up, and that’s where “flexible dieting” is a true testament that being in a calorie deficit is the most important thing for shedding fat. So you stepped on the scale this morning and as compared to yesterday when you weighed yourself, now you’re 2-3lbs heavier…Does this mean that you gained 2-3lbs of fat over night?⁣

FALSE! ⁣

Fluctuations in weight can be caused by a long list of variables:⁣

-Its that time of the month (Hormones can really mess with water retention!)⁣
-You just had a crazy intense training session ⁣
-You ate a bunch the day before⁣
-You ate later than usual the night before ⁣
-You used a different scale than normal⁣
-You haven’t gone to the bathroom yet!⁣

NOT that you gained 2-3lbs of pure fat!⁣

Scales are helpful when weight is used as a baseline or metric to track progress with. But daily weight checks will only drive you crazy and give you a skewed view of your progress.⁣

Weighing yourself bi-weekly and tracking trends in fluctuation will help you see if you are gaining or losing consistently. andddddd theres an APP for that if you absolutely can’t part ways with your scale everyday. ⁣

As I practice myself and encourage my clients to do, taking progress pictures is one good way to track your physical progress. ⁣

Ideally, you want to take these photos at the same time, with the same light poses and attire. ⁣

Use the hands free option and snap a photo of you relaxed from the front, side and back view. Bi-weekly or monthly is a good frequency to start with. ⁣

It’s days like today, where I’m stressed to the max with work and life, that I become keenly aware of the fact that I can’t turn to exercise as my stress relief, and that is probably the worst part of this whole situation. My car, that can be repaired. My body, it will get better. But my mental health is suffering right now as I try to manage and reduce my stress without my normal outlet of exercise. It’s a struggle. I hate it. I’ve been told that my honesty through my weight loss journey has been helpful for others, because it shows the reality of this journey, not just the insta-worthy parts of it.
