Day 2 of #100daysofcodesquad was all about CTCI 🙌🏻. I practiced solving some problems on stacks and queues, took notes, and compared solutions! 🤓 how was yours? #womenwhocode #coding

So many ups and downs in the past few weeks. Have you ever felt like life has you on this crazy emotional roller coaster? Sorry I've been gone. I have been super busy with clients, hurricane and just thinking about what I want to do. So confusing but I know in the end the right path will come my way. This week a student I met in one of my classes asked me why did I decide to leave my job at American Express and go to school. To be honest I could barely answer that question. I guess it was just something that I wanted to try, meaning both business and school. In the end I'm glad I did both because a lot of opportunities opened and are still opening. I'm just waiting to see what direction I go in next. So we'll see what happens. Also thanks to everyone in this community on Instagram I have learned so much from everyone on here. Thank you for following me!! Now I have to get back to the grind.

96/365 - Now one the most important testings, this one really has to be planed ahead so you avoid large amount of bugs. Don’t be delusional thinking that errors in this phase can be avoided completely.
Being honest, never expect 0 errors ever, regardless the stage of your project.
The interface test aims to find possible connection errors in the application server and database server interface, and/or the web server and the application server interface.
A pretty rough definition for interface would be a connection between two constituents. Any software interacting with the application can be considered a component here.
And that is what makes this stage so important. In my experience, dealing with APIs (even though necessary for many projects) is the easiest way to get tones of bugs.
Check if the sever is executing as supposed to, also if errors are handled without compromising the application. Another thing that I like to do while running this test is to check the user-friendliness of the whole project.

always pondering. always devising. always creating. 🤔💭👾

So it’s true, iPhone 8 Plus outperforms my 2017 MacBook Pro. It’s time Apple start using their own chips in macs now 😊

Prepare to fight 💪

We said before that the journey is not over 🚡 and there’s still A LOT we have to learn to even begin to feel comfortable with the stuff we’re doing.

But don’t get us wrong, we’re extremely happy to be in this process, receiving such a great support from our peers and more experienced devs we’re lucky to work with. 👊

And apart from coding with a text on the black screen that makes everyone in coffee shop think we’re hacking the planet (validating an email form), we’re doing our best to catch up with tens of thousands of CS basics we are not familiar with at all. Big O notation, we’re coming to get you. 😂😅 #codingcouple #crackingthecodinginterview #bigo

Day 02/101
Today I've decided to add some features to a personal project of mine I'm building with React and Redux. I'm building this project to broaden my React and JavaScript skills, and explore the advance parts, as practice makes perfect.

I've also been able to send PRs on tasks issued to me, got some reviewed and merge already, and the rest are still under review. One problem I usually face with version control, are conflicts, I've got a bunch of PRs rejected due to conflicts.

I'm also gonna spend a bit of time reading up Programming related books (recommend some in the comments for me). Gonna revise basic algorithms and some CS stuff.

Psst!!! If you're in Nigeria and around Lagos or Port Harcourt, and you have books to lend or give away, DM me I'd come pick them up. I want to read at least a book a day.

How's your day going? Let me know in the comments :) #programmers #programming #programmer #softwareengineer #softwaredeveloper #softwareengineering #coding #computerscience #workspace #dev #developer #worldcode #entrepreneurs #womenintech #workhardanywhere #geek #technology #tech #coder #startups #gurudeveloper #worldofprogrammers #devs #compsci #codingquotes #girlswhocode #codegoals #programmerrepublic

Yesterday was my last day on my first project (the project isn't finished, but I'm needed elsewhere)
It feels weird knowing I might never look at that code again after spending ~2000 hours with it, but my new team has already been working for a few months and I'm excited to learn a new codebase and be in the same room as the wafflemaker again 🍳

It's daring to be curious about the unknown, to dream big dreams, to live outside prescribed boxes, to take risks, and above all, daring to investigate the way we live until we discover the deepest treasured purpose of why we are here...

Day 03/101

I did less coding today, but more of reading and performance, and compatibility tests on the product me and the team are working on. We are currently facing some UI issues with very old browsers (yeah people still use these ), and that's what I've been working on today.

I've been wanting to suggest to the team we port our frontend to a JS framework like React, good thing our CTO had that in mind too.. Man I was super glad, as we're gonna use that in the next version.

I'm gonna be spending the rest of the evening, going through resources on Algorithms and CS theories, and see to visiting my personal project.

I got a new Headphone (Havit) and a smart watch yesterday at a cool price .. Yeah.. When I need to be in the zone, I put on the Headphone, with my favorite playlist and then the magic beings... #programmers #programming #programmer #softwareengineer #softwaredeveloper #softwareengineering #coding #computerscience #workspace #dev #developer #worldcode #entrepreneurs #womenintech #workhardanywhere #geek #technology #tech #coder #startups #gurudeveloper #worldofprogrammers #devs #compsci #codingquotes #girlswhocode #codegoals #programmerrepublic

Saturday chilling with a new book... "Chaos"!! 📚👩🏻‍💻🦄 what you up too this weekend? Gonna do some more JavaScript in a bit 😏

Saturday meeting sessions with a client !

If we work together,we will make the world better , a better place for living , breathing , raising children and preparing them for this world . Be a leader , be a good example in everything you do , and do not forget to help .

Working on a dashboard for a new web app. As I'm in the process of learning JavaScript, I don't want to push my chest out and think I'm done with CSS. I'll be stretching this as far as I can with CSS until I find the need to implement JS. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm using color.adobe to get the colors from my reference image, but coolors.co is by far my favorite color scheme generator. You can repeatedly hit the spacebar until a desired scheme appears or change base colors and get generated colors around said color.

You can access the codes of the game I developed during the software internship as open source.
