Storytellers often (often, not always) get away with sloppy writing, especially if the story is interesting and the reader does not have a serious allergy to errors. The reader is just so captivated that he doesn't notice that a sentence actually reads "He had went to the store", and that another begins with a small letter.
But writing formally/professionally is a different ball game. Your article, résumé, thesis, or proposal tells the reading audience how professional you are, and can create a bad impression of you or win the audience over from the very first paragraph. So, if you have misspellings and grammatical errors dancing all over that presentation, you had better get rid of them, because they are actually screaming, "I am not that competent and I don't bloody care!" #writeflawlessly #editfy #professionalwriting #professionalediting #flawlesswriting #proofreading #editing #thesis #article #writingtips #writingcommunity #instawriters #resumetips
