Before you proceed in reading any further, the last thing I want from this post is for anyone to feel sorry for me as I’m truly blessed. I do, however, want to finally share my story as I think I have a solid and great group of followers/friends so here we go...I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Multiple Sclerosis in 2003, 14 years ago, almost 15 now. I worked my ass off the entire time I was sick and anyone who knows anyone with MS or has it themselves knows that anything a healthy person can do is at least 5 times harder for us. So in other words, I’m a f$&king warrior, rock star bad ass haha I was lucky enough to be one of the first people in Canada to have a surgery dubbed the “liberation treatment” back in 2005 where they blew up my jugular and azaygos veins which were almost completely closed. It was risky but it saved my life. I was using a cane at the time and haven’t had to use it since. Although I fought and rallied for the treatment to be brought to Canada, it never happened and because I wasn’t able to get follow-up treatment or afford the expensive procedure again with FDA approved stents, my veins have since closed again and I’ve been battling with it since. This past year has been the hardest, relapse after relapse and I may now have permanent damage to my vision and other things too personal to say here. I didn’t want to take the medications as they are so harsh and the side-effects are unreal, plus I’m stubborn, but don’t have much of a choice anymore. My disease is progressing too fast. I started on a drug called Tecfidera in June and and started losing my hair (a lovely side-effect and not even the worst one) when I was introduced to a hair care line called Monat. After using it for a couple months my hair has grown back and stopped falling out. Hooray! I then decided to sign up as Market Partner to help other people. I’ve become unable to work full-time so this has been a blessing in many ways. Not only is my hair growing back but I’m able to do this with no issue and help others so I’m sorry for all the hair posts. It’s something I truly believe in though! Thank you for reading. I would absolutely love to have you on my team.
