Let’s talk about the diet culture/weight loss culture term “problem areas.” I don’t have enough time to get into the rant that this deserves, but NOTHING ON YOUR BODY IS A PROBLEM. Our bodies are so fucking incredible, can we please stop hating?? I’m posting this picture because I still struggle with thinking about my inner thighs as “problem areas.” They’re forever jiggly, forever stretch marked, and lord knows they’ll never be smooth from stubble and razor burn (Southern European genes what’s up). They’re the part I will struggle with most when it comes to wearing a bathing suit, and it might take me some time to stop wearing shorts at the beach. But I’m working on it. We’re working on it together. Our bodies are beautiful. ALL BODIES ARE BEAUTIFUL. All bodies are beach bodies. Let’s fight the brainwashing and live our best lives. Nothing about how our bodies look is an actual problem. Let’s focus on the real problems out there, amiright?
