Home After Waiting 13 Months!
Lollie is a darling, striking tortie and white, 13 year-old senior who was surrendered to a public shelter in November 2016 when her life-long owner became homeless. Transferred to Purrfect Pals to find a new home, she was really stressed and unhappy when she arrived. Over the past year she’s been at several of our off site adoption centers as well as at the main shelter. Lollie found shelter life extremely difficult and was uncomfortable being surrounded by strange cats and people. Hidden inside the stressed, unhappy kitty was a sweet, slightly shy girl who loves to play with wand toys, enjoys catnip and in quiet moments would snuggle against your chest and purr.
This past weekend a couple who lost their 17 year old kitty just before Thanksgiving decided they wanted to give Lollie her final home. They are extremely cat savvy folks, who have 2 other 15 year old kitties at home. Those kitties are described as mellow, laid-back and extremely easy going. While Lollie hasn’t been thrilled to share space with other cats at the shelter, she hasn’t been aggressive, instead pretty much ignoring them and going her own way. With a large house, plenty of beds, trees and space, we expect the kitties to coexist just fine. Lollie’s mom has a sanctuary room set up for her, knows it will take time for her adjust to her new home and is committed to spoiling her rotten the remainder of her life. After a long, hard year this sad senior has a new loving home just in time for the holidays.
