Since we’re learning about clothes this week, I read this silly book about a lady hanging anything and everything up on a clothesline. For art the kids were given popsicle sticks, cut up clothes and string and I am so impressed that they all attempted to replicate a clothesline so well! Love how these turned out! #preschool #preschoolteacher #teachersofinstagram #preschoolartwork #preschoolcrafts

We made orange, triangle foxes 🦊 this week!

My sons artwork from preschool. #wassupposedtobeamouse #preschoolartwork

Thanks to @prekprocess we used baking soda + vinegar for “bubble paint”! After they dried, I used the die cut machine to create an apple for now and something for later... 😏 #teachersfollowteachers

Together with the Art Studio we transformed wooden cheese boxes into Wassily Kandinsky life size Concentric Circles. @lakesideartstudio #outsideclassroom #concentriccircles #preschoolartwork

Concentric circles inspired by Wassily Kandinsky. @lakesideoutside made these in the outdoor art studio with the kiddos last week. Didn’t they turn out amazing?!?! You wouldn’t know that these were cheese wheel boxes... #lakesideartstudio #childrensartstudio #kidsartstudio #childrensart #childrensartwork #kidsart #kidsartwork #preschoolart #preschoolartwork #creativity #creativekids #creativespace #childrenneedmoreart #kidsneedmoreart #artmatters #creativelife #adventuresinart #artteachersofinstagram

Sydney Opera Houses - made out of paper plates! I would have never thought of that, thank goodness for Pinterest :) And of course these colorful little ladies could not leave the opera house plain white!

So here are the finished products after using our recycled circle stencils🎉We attached cotton balls to clothespins, the children dipped them into paint and filled in the circles! We think they did a really great job!! Such a simple project but perfect for our shape of the month! 🔴

Silly line people were created in the art studio today. Such personality in each drawing. 👩🏽‍🎨😊🤗👨🏻‍🎨 #oilpastel 🌈

TODAY IN ART (VPK A & B): We learned about my FRIEND — Andy Warhol! (See if your child can remember Ms. Katie’s friend! He has a funny last name. 😉) We looked at one of Andy’s art pieces centered around the theme of flowers. I asked students to identify objects in Andy’s painting. We noted the flowers and the grass as the background.

Today, we worked on creating our background and we were able to use an interesting tool: plastic forks! After we discussed safety rules, I demonstrated how to “print” with forks (pressing the back of the fork into the paint, and then pressing onto the paper). This technique created our grass texture.

Tomorrow, we will add our flowers! We are so excited!

NEW session for preschoolers - prepped and ready for action! #birdsnest #vanhuysum #inspiredbyart #museumartist #creativity #lovecraft #textiles #preschoolartwork #artforall
