If I could give my fellow stay at home mommies ONE piece of advice it's this... The habit I set in place that has helped me the most when I transitioned from the work world to SAHM life is to get up BEFORE my child.
While there are a lot of days this doesn't always go according to plan, and a lot of days that doesn't even mean working out before he wakes - it just means being awake and having just a few minutes for YOU to get your mind and heart right in the quiet.
Devotions, coffee, mediation, or working out...or a combination of something that brings you calmness and clarity is a crucial part of my day.
Today, I got up just a mere fifteen minutes (yes I thought it would be longer) before Aiden woke up. I was able to wash my face, do some stretches for my back, and pour a cup of coffee before I heard little steps down the hall.
So we sip on coffee and start our morning calm...for now 😜
