Did my first Nutrition course with I.A.H.S (Irish Association of Healthfood Stores)
In 1996 aged 21 and absolutely loved it❤️🥑 After all mum taught me from her health-store it came natutally enough to me.
20 years on n still learning and have since developed into Sports and Womens Nutrition.🤸♀️ Certs and bits of paper are USELESS if you don’t implement what you have learnt and put it into practice.⚠️ Ive done several experiments on myself nutritionally to test out what I learnt.
For my sport I needed to drop 3kgs,🥇 Did this successfully 2 years ago through increasing my calories,changing food timing
cutting out alcohol and adjusting my macros.
15 years before this was the last time I dropped weight (7kg)
I did it mainly through exercise and nutrition,having gained a stone from eating a LOT of sugar and takeaways.🍪🍩🍟🍔 (A food rebellion when I left home from all the health-foods)😂😂 Great to know that aged 40 im nutritionally healthier than ive ever been
and the lightest in weight!💃💃 Working with hundreds of clients on Nutrition has really been an eye opener.😬 Im a nerd like this,
Think its fascinating the different approaches,upbringings,experiences and habits people have with food.💥 Luckily I was bought up surrounded by homegrown,homemade,organic,natural health-foods with zero rubbish food allowed by my parents.
No sugar (we kept bees) 🐝 no dairy (we kept goats) 🐐 no processed foods.
At school we were singled out because our food was so different and kids didnt get it.😬 What the f**k was rye bread,carob,hummus etc?
They thought we were the weirdest of the weird🤣
Mum had us eating leaves,herbs,flowers,berries from the wilds,
explaining all the names of them n benefits to health.❤️
As a family we all ate at the table together for EVERY meal🥗🥗 My taste buds are extremely broad!
I would literally eat anything,within reason😉
Peeps its NEVER too late to sort out how and what you eat n drink n what your attitude is to it🥊🥊 Do you try new foods?love food?enjoy it?🥑 I do X
