Car selfie I took yesterday for Valentine's. **This post is in sympathy of the currently bereaved in Florida. It's not about me. Thank you though.*** In light of the tradgedy at the high school down in Florida, I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the survivors and those involved in the trauma. My heart breaks for all the families who lost a precious family member through the ordeal. And all the young people who lost a friend. I can't imagine. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who went through or were connected to the tragic event. 💔💔🙏 I am so glad they have grief Support rushing to the students and families aid. May they find support and comfort during this time. 🙏🙏 ▫️ Fairness doesn't govern life and death. If it did, no good person would ever die Young. -unknown

“Let us sacrifice our today so that our children can have a better tomorrow”- A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Habel comes from a remote slum who is an orphan child and has no siblings. He was brought to us 3 years ago and has been growing up in our Kolkata Tree House(KTH). He’s mostly silent but his actions speak loud. Once when a Home staff humoured him by saying “I’m not well, would you please get me a medicine”, Habel walked away quietly and came back in a while saying “I’m going to pray for you”. This act of faith surprised the staff and not only that, he became well soon. KTH aims at training and bringing up each child in wisdom, love and adding value to one another. #kolkatatreehouse#crossculture#preciouslives#education#purpose#goals
"Blessed are those who are generous, for they feed the poor". Ajan Sheakh, who's 5, is from a slum where so much of crime and injustice takes place. Men are mostly addicted to some kind of drug and women make a living out of working all day long in others' households for a menial amount. Children from these homes hardly go to school and aren't even aware of the significance of education. But Ajan has this blessed opportunity to come to the #visionrescue and get her basics right and learn about moral values and hygiene which is not taught in most schools in these communities. Because of your support, every child gets a #nutritious meal and an #education. #childrendonthavetostarve#purpose#goals#preciouslives#crossculture
Lucas and Logan are ready for their forever home! 😃
FIV and Felv NEGATIVE. Ear mites NEGATIVE. Ring worms NEGATIVE.
Who wants these gorgeous playful twins as part of their family? ❤
Please pm me or whatsap 0555549730 if you are serious about adopting both brothers. We had 2 offers in December but they were being treated for ear mites then and now both parties pretend I have not written to them!
It dawns on you one day... how precious your life is and how not okay it is for anyone, ever, to cause you any amount of suffering, ever. Then the next time you step out the door you look at everyone and you’re thinking, “My life is precious and you’re not allowed to hurt me.” ~ C. JoyBell C.
I lay awake thinking is all the worrying about sick cats worth it? Is all the piling up of vet bills worth it any longer? The constant stress that we are running low on cat food a reason to stop?
How can we stop? Is having a conscience shortening our lives with worry?
We decided from the start that we would split our responsibilities and at the same time work as a team to insure our rooms where we hide our fosters is clean and smelling good so as to keep our secret safe from our parents. Taz care for the special needs and sick cat which no doubt I could not do. I care and feed the "normal" fosters and post for homes for our growing number of fosters.
People I contact reject my cats because they are not up to standard of what they believe to be cute or loving. Missing an eye or a limb or having FIV or even being an older cat does not change the loving nature of a cat. How can anyone judge a cat by pictures or a 15 min vet visit?
I beg and beg with negative results. "It's cruel to cage a cat for so long". "Why have you not vaccinated your cats?". "Why is your adoption fee so high?". It's inhuman to confine an animal in a cage for years" Many are quick to judge and pass comments not knowing that we have tried and tried and tried and tried to beg at times in numerous posts with no one offering to even foster a cat that is caged for years. We cage only those that need caging. Why would we want extra work of keep the cage clean, cleaning extra food and water bowls and having to empty and clean extra litter boxes. Litter is not cheap anymore and those cages would require their own litter boxes.
