Это гибридная поза - Прасарита (наклон вперед с широко расставленными ногами) с руками в Гомукханасане. Встаньте и разведите ноги где-то на метр, переплетите пальцы или воспользуйтесь ремнем, затем наклонитесь и тянитесь макушкой и верхним локтем к полу. Максимально удлините верхнюю часть тела. Если вы легко достаете локтем до пола, сведите немного ноги и попробуйте еще раз (плюс это будет более глубокой растяжкой для подколенных сухожилий). Продолжайте напрягать сгибатели бедра, чтобы еще сильнее направить корпус между ног. Важно не дергать шеей и не делать неестественных движений плечами. Позвольте силе тяжести помочь вам удлинниться и раскрыться. Поменяйте руки в наклоне или поднимитесь (напрягите поясницу, чтобы поднять корпус) и поменяйте их там. Когда вы наклоняетесь вперед (или уходите дальше в пространство между ногами), выдыхайте глубоко в грудную клетку и сердце. Можете ли вы позволить себе быть чуточку более уязвимыми? Растяжка в руках и плечах часто зависит от наших сердец: когда раскрывается одно, второе раскрывается следом (или может, если мы ему позволим). Сегодня - идеальный день, чтобы отпустить, любить и принять. Вам не нужно постоянно носить весь этот груз с собой… дышите и сбросьте его! Slowly finding my rhythm, finding the moments to breath between nurturing the needs of both boys. Held back a lot with wheel pose today as didn't want to push the abs beyond where they were ready! Besides, arm strength is pretty feeble post partum so found it harder to push up high anyway!... and les not talk about my feeble arm balance 😂🙈

Day 9: Standing Wide Legged Forward Fold - Prasarita Paddotanasana

Hi guys, so this is a picture from my yesterday' practice.

This pose is called PRASARITA PADOTTANASANA or "wide stance forward bend". This pose stretches your hamstrings, calves, and hips; strengthens your feet, ankles, and legs; and builds awareness of how to protect your lower back.
This pose is also an inversion, as it lowers head and heart below the hips. The combination of the inverted shape and the forward fold tends to bring a wonderful feeling of calmness.
I really love this posture and although I am not able to completely stretch my legs, it relieves stress and the effects of MS fatigue.

I know I have short legs but never thought they could be this short, relatively more or less the same with spine length... Still learning the connection of the legs and hips so spine doesn't take the load.

Day 2 of #MiddleSplitsInMay is #wideleggedforwardfold. This forward fold variation with the legs wide is so much easier for me than forward fold with the legs together. It feels much less stressful on my hamstrings, which are naturally very tight. A big reason why middle splits are so difficult for me!
