I started training mainly out insecurity of my own body. I was very skinny in my teens and never felt confident about how I looked or how strong I was. In 6th grade I couldn’t even do a single pull up in front of the rest of my PE class. These negative emotions and feelings led me to find lifting weights and it completely transformed my life. It’s made me more confident with how I hold myself physically and mentally. I’ve also created so many unique friendships through the process. If I never got into lifting weights I truely don’t know where I would be today, but all I know is that I’m extremely glad I took this route in life.

LENTO AVANTI CON MANUBRI. ➡ Quando parliamo di esercizi in palestra che sia bodybuilding o fitness dobbiamo prendere in considerazione 2 aspetti: il rischio articolare e l'attivazione muscolare.
FISIOLOGIA ARTICOLARE. ➡ Nel lento avanti con manubri le articolazioni maggiormente interessate sono il gomito e la scapolo-omerale. Per quanto concerne la prima per ora mi limito a dire che il polso deve rimanere al di sopra del gomito per scaricare la forza peso in maniera uniforme.
Per quanto riguarda la scapolo-omerale dobbiamo ricordarci che la scapola non si trova esattamente su un piano frontale ma leggermente ruotata di circa 30°. Questo ci porta a pensare che la posizione corretta di partenza sia quella con omero leggermente anteposto per rispettare la dinamica intrinseca della scapola ed evitare forzature inutili e dannose.
ATTIVAZIONE DEL DELTOIDE. ➡ I testi sacri della fisiologia (Kapandji) affermano che il deltoide si attivi maggiormente fra gli 0 e i 90°. Ecco che subito capiamo che peLorlo al meglio e sfruttare le leggi della fisiologia muscolare (diagramma tensione-lunghezza) la posizione di partenza sia quella con omero a 0°. Questo ci porterà a caricare meno peso ma non significa minor crescita muscolare, anzi... ✅ Detto questo mettiamo da parte l'ego e cominciamo ad allenarci in maniera corretta per ottenere dei risultati degni di nota e rispettando la macchina più bella e affascinante della natura.

Deadlift Max effort day

At the moment there's a lot going on in my life behind the scenes and Today was really tough, full of mixed emotions, anger, frustration, sadness. But when it came time to train I was able to tap into those emotions and hit a deadlift PB. 240kg x 3 for a rep PB. Really happy considering this is my 2nd week of the new program, only 3 weeks ago my current 1RM was 250kg. Plenty more in the tank felt like I could have done couple more reps or gone up in weight. Finally I got the 110lb/50kg dumbells up for reps with and incline bench of 220lb/100kg! So happy the only problem I've been having is it when I re rack the weights and take my hand off as I get a real sharp pain in my wrist! This was a random trip to @teamsavagerocks gym in Hemel with @ash_dear_ @iaubs_fitness -
