So after pretty much 2 years I think I have started doing weights properly again, this first week has been 1rm testing, at 78kg I have hit 160kg deadlift, 110kg squat and 80kg bench. My pbs are 180deads 130 squat and 90 bench so I think I'm at a pretty good starting point! I feel like I’m starting from scratch with my lifting.
Not ashamed to drop the weights right back, focus on form, depth and listening to my body. I’m miles away from where I was or want to be but every day I am getting stronger so il just keep on doing what I’m doing :)

Exercise Purpose: some throwing shot put and discs, followed by brutal anaerobic glycolysis sprints. Every 400 meter effort gets my heart rate into the 190s. So do 300 meter efforts. CAUTION! Do not exercise this hard without a long history of sustained maximum efforts AND serious pursuits of PRs. This sort of training, when done properly, will max out your heart rate. Exercising, low fat consuming, vegans are much less likely to have underlying cardiovascular issues. Still, there is no guarantee. Phase in length and intensity slowly, within familiar exercise modalities!

Today’s Exercise Tools: Boxing bag, various throwing weights (discs, shot, 5 lb weight plates), Track spikes.

Photos: this was a protein rich indulgence! Latin American tortilla “pizza” with black beans, fiesta beyond meat, and some sauces, tomato paste, and salsa, a tortilla and cheeze.

Videos:
1. Nice easy ten seconds or so, bag work. 2. Series of Throwing various weighted discs, weight plates and 16 lb shot left and right handed, working on generating as much angular momentum as possible from standing throw, power positions. 0. Maximum anaerobic glycolysis in a 300 meter sprint. I have to review to see exactly how long this effort took. There are other people on the track.

A) Gym: 12 minute warm up Boxing, a great general wam up.
B) Hill:
C) Track: 25 minutes of throwing about 30 seconds for each hand, 2 x 400, every 9 minutes then a 300.
D) Other:

Fitness assessment: you can find your soul in super tough workouts. I reached my goals in this workout.

Fitness tip: except during periodization, try to challenge yourself in at least a few exercises each week, for more reps, heavier reps, faster times or distance.
