A little backstory on me and my eating habits... I used to think that I could eat whatever I wanted (especially all the poutine 🤣), and suffer no consequences. 🙄
I was thin, and at the time I had no health issues to speak of.
I didn’t HATE veggies, but they were the very LAST thing I would choose to eat.
We ate processed, packaged, and mostly grey/brown/white/yellow-coloured foods.
Then, I started to wonder why I was so tired. Why was I so moody?
What on earth were these dimples on my butt and thighs?
That’s when I started getting hit with chronic bouts of sinusitis, abdominal pain, extreme fatigue, depression, anxiety, aggression, etc.! And then finally, the diagnosis came: Celiac Disease.
But the more research I did on gluten, the more I realized that EVERYTHING I was eating was affecting how my body was working.
It was time to make a change, and it’s now been 6 years since I started looking at ingredients, getting the information, and making an informed decision.
Oh, how my body and mind have changed since then!
Many of us don’t realize the POWER of what we are fueling our body with, until, in my case, a negative health diagnosis comes along and makes a change necessary.
Don’t be like Karin, start doing your research now and PREVENT the health issues.
