Bargain-hunting Brits may no longer be able to turn to Poundworld as their first stop for cheap goods. Following the closure of over 100 stores in April, Poundworld announced on June 11th that they are entering administration.
In a press statement by Deloitte it was confirmed that store was looking for a part or full buyer, with hopes that store will not have to close its doors. In what will hopefully reassure both the public and Poundworld staff it was also announced that there will be no store closures or redundancies during the search for a new owner. Poundworld employs over 5,100 thousand staff in the UK.
This news comes as a relief to the British public who have expressed their concern about the closure of the retail giant. Poundworld offers a variety of products that cater to the needs of everyday living all for the price of a pound – or so it claims. For less than the cost of a cup of coffee from their local café a Poundworld shopper could leave the savings store with a brand-new phone charger and value-pack of biscuits. #Poundworld #store #UK #Poundland #7D #7Dnews
