Tuesdays are for sushi 🍣
A couple of years ago my family and I developed a tradition of making sushi every Tuesday.
Why Tuesday’s? Because that’s when the fishmonger received a fresh batch of fish every week.
Sadly we no longer make our own sushi but the tradition remains.
This is my favourite combo- sashimi + wakame
Salmon 🐟 : Rich in omega 3s (obviously), Vitamin Bs and potassium + selenium
Octopus 🐙: Low calorie but high protein option, it’s rich in iron and selenium as well as vitamin B12.
Wakame 🌿: Also very low in calories (just watch out for any dressings) but packs a punch in terms of nutrients. It’s high in iodine which helps support thyroid function.
