Today I got to go have lunch with this precious girl at her school, something I haven’t gotten to do yet this year. It meant so much to her and made her so happy that I could come and eat with her which means the world to me. Moments like these are why I work so hard to build a life where I can work from home and make my own schedule. Having the freedom to go have lunch with my little girl whenever I want and keeping my other little girl at home instead of sending her to daycare means so much to me. 💕⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Swipe ➡️ to see my actual point of view during today’s workout. As part of our group’s motivational Monday assignment, we shared what was motivating us as we headed into week two. And while I’m motivated by the babes in our accountability group, my main source of motivation are my kiddos. As someone who felt like I lost my mom WAY too soon, I know I’m constantly working on myself (both mentally and physically). So I’m doing all I can to not only be present but also be HERE for as much as I can control. Is it perfect? Nope, even when you’re given an awesome program and have a bunch of amazing babes to cheer you on, it sometimes feels hard to start. Because let me tell ya, it took me THREE times to start this workout today. But you know how I felt after? In a way better mood and actually more motivated to tackle my household “stuff” I was putting off 💁🏻‍♀️ #procrastinatorproblems
So, no you don’t have to be “ready” to start, because we can think up all the reasons why something WON’T work while ignoring all the reasons this can be a positive change and actually HELP you face all of life’s hills and valleys. Take it from a recovering perfectionist 😉😍 if I would have started when I was ready, I would have never started in the first place. But it took a gut feeling and a little encouragement, and after 4 years I’m dang proud of 25 year old Meggie for starting because almost 30 year old Meggie is a whole new person 💖

UNDERSTAND how your body works everyday and learn just how much your body benefits from healthy food and exercise.

ACCEPT the fact that looking after your body is a lifestyle choice and not a quick fix.

Once you have grasped all of these you will learn to APPRECIATE your body and all of the amazing things that your body is able to go through! Mamas you know what I'm talking about😉

This Thanksgiving be thankful for the body that you are in, be thankful for being healthy and happy with your family! A healthy you is such a gift to your family!💛

I usually don’t wear colored workout pants... not because I don’t think they are SUPER cute, but because I sweat like a crazy person 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ .
It’s been like that my entire life... In high school I could only wear white shirts because by the time I parked to go inside I had pit stains already 😬😬... So it’s natural to say that sweating profusely has been a “thing” for me for FOREVER
.
My crazy sweating has been an item of embarrassment for me for as long as I can remember, but something that this journey has taught me is that my sweat is a badge of honor 💪🏼... sounds weird, but stick with me: nowadays I work my booty off in my crazy workouts and seeing the sweat pour off of me gives me a sense of accomplishment 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 and I am super grateful for that!!!

So every time I sweat through 2 headbands while teaching class... or have giant knee sweat circles... or create a puddle on the ground from sweat... I am learning to Love it and be proud of it!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

And, I mean, if my husband can still find me attractive while I’m panting and sweating like a monster, I will count that as a win forever 😘😘😘

Due to preeclampsia, I was induced at 38 weeks. I planned on giving birth naturally, but for safety reasons with blood pressure, was given an epidural at 3 cm. I hemorrhaged postnatal and lost a lot of blood, and was close to being sent in for emergency surgery. While I had complications, Harper was born, healthy and perfect! Each of my stretch marks signifies the strength my body went through to create Harper. Each mark demonstrates the miracle that she is. Each mark reminds me just how lucky I am to have her. Each mark is proof that I brought life into this world. My stretch marks are not pretty, but they are mine! 💕

EL POSTPARTO, es sin duda lo más difícil de un embarazo y lamentablemente es para lo que menos nos preparamos.

Y claro, uno comparte siempre lo más bonito sin considerar que no es necesariamente lo más apegado a la realidad. Y como primerizas nos toma por sorpresa “eso” de lo que a casi nadie le gusta compartir.
.
Por eso y por la motivación de mi esposo @dayestaran he decidido compartirlo y ya por fin termine el artículo del blog -confesiones de un post parto- (¡parte uno! Jajaja)

Para mi el hecho de que @saschafitness esté compartiendo su PP de la manera más real posible ha sido un impulso y una motivación extra así como seguro también lo es para todas las mamás que nos encontramos en lo mismo, que sabemos lo que cuesta, que sabemos la realidad que vivimos.
.
También seguir a cuentas que motivan diariamente a llevar un estilo de vida más saludable como @vida_fit @barbaraderegil @naslanayen @katrinaascott es un impulso extra para mantenerme enfocada en mi objetivo.

I swear my daughter smiles all the time y’all 😂. Today was JAM PACKED. And somehow, very imperfectly, fit in my workout after the doctor/school/park/play date and dinner/date night.
As my daughter was fussing through the last 15 minutes I almost quit. But the voice in my head was this “FIGHT mama. Fight for YOU. Your health. Your confidence. Your FLIPPING SANITY 😂. Fill your cup so you can keep pouring into theirs”. This is your official permission to do the same 🤗😘

Whoop whoop to the last week of my first postnatal challenge group.• Finding motivation to get my ass to my garage has been more of a challenge then ever! So many sleepless nights piled on top of each other it’s amazing I can even find my way there. Let alone get a workout in!• But I’m doing it. And haven’t skipped a beat since getting back to it postpartum.• It hasn’t come without hard work, dedication. And Consistently reminding myself of why I started. But once you experience ALL the Benefits of this lifestyle. It’s worth the fight. • You jus have to except that it is a journey -> a challenge. And find a community who’s willing to battle it out beside you.•
Which is why I became a health/fitness coach -> or motivator if u will.• I want to be that community, spread the love of self love, and show people like me how easy it is!• Because everyone deserves to live their best life!•

How fitting that #womensentrepreneurshipday and Thanksgiving are in the same week. Beyond grateful for all the love and support from my village over the past 3+ years on this adventure. Current overwhelming anxiety is about teaching that baby to eat. What if he chokes? Oh God I'm terrified of him choking. Is he learning healthy eating habits? Wtf is healthy eating habits for a baby? When is he supposed to be eating finger food? What are "finger foods" for teeth less babies? He's definitely going to jab his eye out. Babies squeeze your chest in a whole new way.

We went on our first family walk around the park! We made it to a mile before I hit my limit. I’m in no rush to be overly active, I just like to get out of the house for strolls. (11 days PP)
