The struggle is real post-competition. Still trying to balance out diet with out the strictness of prep. I had this one yesterday and it was yummy so decided to make it again. Strawberries and cream protein oatmeal with added chia and flax and this morning I also added a tbsp of unsweetened coconut flakes. Yum!! 340 calories, 31g Carbs, 13g Fat, 30g Protein, 2g Sugar #postcompetitiondiet

A common statement made to competitors following their shows is "oh so now you can eat whatever you want"..well yes and no. If you want to be strategically smart and benefit yourself you DO NOT eat whatever you want. I personally myself ate a good meal post show season and then ate for a couple days not counting macros. Does that mean binging? No that means just eating enough to gain satisfactory and get my blood levels back to check along with mental stability. It now has been 2 weeks post competiton season and my daily calorie intake is as if I was 4-6 weeks out from a show, and 2lbs heavier than my lowest stage weight. Taking a slow and steady approach at adding calories back into the diet on a weekly basis to not gain access amounts of fat. Way to many competitors go way off the band wagon and gain 20-30lbs back quickly, and thats females.. then next prep they have to diet even longer. Why would you bust your ass off for weeks to lose fat and then gain it all back in no time, then usually plus some. It is definitely much easier said then done considering this is thus by far one of my largest struggles along my journey.
