And speaking of anniversaries & gurus... 10 years ago today (assuming it's still May 15) I met for the first time the two most impressive artists & personas of my lifetime: #AdamStephens & #TysonVogel of @twogallants. Berlin's #Postbahnhof was our scenery of greet while the opportunity to cross paths was an intimate acoustic performance (w/ the significant contribution of cellist #JenGrady) that promoted upcoming #TheSceneryOfFarewell EP. After critically acclaimed #TheThroes & #WhatTheTollTells LPs the rise of #2GS was gaining momentum, so they were supposed to put on a great show. And they did, although it was totally different from what they perform on a regular basis (I doubt anyone has gone back & looked at my older posts, so let me acknowledge that I saw the band eleven times in total & only one of those shows took place in my country). Tyson once wrote me he's a bit sceptical of the Internet, "this most awkward, unnatural, but important medium to these most modern days" (oh, how I love his turns of phrase). Well, I'm not. I think if there's anything special about social media, it's the ability to really keep track of your favorite people's endeavors. And if you'd like to keep track of #TwoGallants, you can follow the profiles run by Tyson himself: @twogallants, @tyson.vogel, @burningcurtains, as well as these of his friends & associates: @doncasini, @mosebanana, @electricdatacamera, @jonathanlevinson, @mishavladimirskiy, @kevinearltaylor, @staggerleegoods, @jolioce, @_zombie_hunter_, @leighcoop, @futuretwinsf. With everything said & done, thanks for these 10 years of rad!
