On Sunday, I took a long walk along the James River.
On Monday, I had a killer glute workout.
Yesterday, I didn't go to the gym.
Today, I spent 10 minutes on the stair master, migrated to the treadmill, thought running sounded fun, realized that it wasn't😂, and proceeded to walk on an incline then get in an ab circuit.
I have no true routine these days besides moving my body in whatever way it's craving, because that is what makes me happy.
Fitness should complement your life, keep your heart healthy, and bring you joy. It should never be something that you feel an uncomfortable obligation to do.🙌🏼
It's taken me so long to realize this, but there is no life rule book that says you have to workout in a specific way (intense lifts, long runs, loads of yoga, etc.) every day. You don't have to follow any particular routine just because somebody else does, and you don't have to fit into any particular mold to be worthy of love or acceptance.💕
Listen to your body, have fun with your movement, and let go of the "have to's."
