Repost @aubreymarcus I love this quote, but it's misleading if not understood. Eventually the amount of work becomes the same. It becomes a choice. But that comes after years of experience with emotional control. How do you gain years of experience with emotional control? Well, the same way you get years of experience in the gym. Practice. Put yourself under the right amount of stress, and work on responding the best you can. Keep practicing. And know that happiness, more often than not, IS a choice. But that choice may not be available until you have trained yourself for years. Maybe decades. I know that has been the case for me, and I'm still working on it.
